Somewhere in the Middle of Eternity

Chiller Theatre Autograph & Collectible Show

Some pics of celebs I met at Chiller Theatre today in Parsippany, NJ including Dean Cain (Lois and Clark), Parker Stevenson (Hardy Boys), Richard Lynch (The Seven Ups, Bad Dreams, and a bazillion other things), Bob Gunton (Shawshank Redemption, Demolition Man and much more), Kevin J. O'Connor (The Mummy), Dan Shor (TRON), and Patrick Labyorteaux (JAG).

It was a packed house for Dean Cain as well as the three main stars of Boondock Saints (Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, and David Della Rocco). The pre-show ticket holder line was the longest I'd ever had to stand in but it moved fairly. All of the guests were very friendly and I think a few were overwhelmed as this was their first convention appearance.  First timers included Dean Cain, Patrick Labyorteaux, Kevin J. O'Connor and a few others.

I've never been to a con before. It was Sci-Fi on the Rock here in St. John's last weekend and Jeffrey Combs was there. I couldn't make it, but I would have loved to meet him. I'm envious that you met Kevin J. O'Connor. He's my favourite actor. What was he like??
Re: Lucky!!
I believe it was Kevin's first con because he seemed nervous but was very friendly. He had that deer-in-the-headlights look the entire time but after a few minutes with us, he opened up and joked around a bit.

Jeffrey Combs is fantastic. I've met him about four times in the last ten years and have Deep Space Nine and Frighteners items signed by him. Very cool dude.

Yeah, I've been doing cons for almost 20 years now and I am amazed at the people I meet since the "the cat's out of the bag" and it's no longer just Star Trek actors but EVERYONE coming out to conventions from every genre of movie and television. I've met people I never ever thought I would.
Re: Lucky!!
Have you ever met John Billingsley? He's another one I'd love to meet...Though I wonder, if I met any of these celebrities I love, what would I say to them? I'd probably just sort of stand there like an idiot.
Re: Lucky!!
Billingsly has cancelled his appearance at least twice at conventions I've attended, but it didn't disappoint me. I think he's a fine actor, don't get me wrong.

It's merely that I'm a fan of original Trek through Deep Space Nine. IMHO, Voyager and Enterprise were atrocious. I gave them a chance and they had some gems here and there but overall I lost interest.

By coincidence, Billingsly and Kevin J. O'Connor were part of the cast of The Others, a short lived syndicated show about the paranormal.

Now, I AM a fan of Scott Bakula from his Quantum Leap days and I've met Dean Stockwell about two or three times in the past five years but Scott will be in Philadelphia in June (along with Dean) and Wizard World Comic Con: I have my tickets!
